Costa Rica recently partnered with the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN), which is coordinating an international campaign on social networks called “Be Responsible” (“Responsabilízate”), to prevent fraud in tourist services.

The objective of the social media campaign, according to Costa Rican authorities, is to inform and educate consumers about possible risks and deceptive or fraudulent practices they may face in the tourism services market.
